Christian was born in Freiburg, Germany just a few miles from the borders of both France, where his father was raised, and Switzerland. Christian took a traditional route on his career in professional photography. After graduating from college, where he majored in photography, he worked as a photo assistant on advertising, architectural, and editorial projects. In 1998, he moved to Berlin where he then worked as a freelance sports and press photographer for several sports agencies, newspapers, and magazines. At first, his panoramic photography was a relaxing hobby, however, when he moved to the United States in 2003 he became increasingly captivated by landscape and panoramic photography. His work is used for stock photography as well as for fine art prints. In the past Christian volunteered on the Board of Directors of the IAPP and was one of the main organizers of the joined IVRPA + IAPP International Panoramic Conference Tucson, Arizona 2010. He now works with Photographers, Stock Agencies, and Photo Organizations as a Consultant and Advisor. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, and enjoys the rich variety of the California landscape and the American Southwest.
