About Jacky

Jacky Lee is a distinguished visual artist and award-winning photographer based in Canberra, Australia, originally from Hong Kong. Best known for his landscape, nightscape, aerial and monochrome imagery, his work is driven by a strong sense of scale, spatial composition and atmosphere. His photographs
have been exhibited internationally in Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.

A National Geographic Photo Contest winner, Jacky has also received honours from the Monochrome Photography Awards, Budapest International Foto Awards, Paris Photography Prize and Tokyo International Foto Awards.

His visual approach is informed in part by his professional background as a Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Building Engineer, which contributes to his refined understanding of structure, perspective and immersive visual design. Most recently, he was awarded a portfolio distinction
by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP).

Jacky is an accredited judge with the Australian Photographic Judges Association and the Photographic Society of America, and has judged competitions both in Australia and internationally. He serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Panoramic Photographers, where he helps promote and advance the art of panoramic photography worldwide.

Beyond his photographic practice, Jacky chairs the AI & Authorship Standards Subcommittee of the Australian Photographic Society, contributing to ongoing
conversations around visual integrity in the age of AI. He is also Honorary Secretary of the Royal Photographic Society Australian Chapter and the author of Immersification in Photographic Art: The Process to a Perfect Image.

In recognition of his contribution to the photographic community, he was recently nominated as a global ambassador of the International Association of Art Photographers for 2026.
