About Me

Background
I am a landscape, seascape and panoramic amateur photographer based in the Western Cape of South Africa. I have a passion for capturing the natural beauty, dramatic light and diverse landscapes of Southern Africa. Specialising in coastal landscapes, expansive panoramas and fine-art imagery, I strive to create photographs that convey atmosphere, evoke emotion and celebrate extraordinary beauty of the natural world.

My passion for landscape photography grew naturally from my connection with the outdoors and nature, and a fascination with the beauty, power, and ever-changing character of the natural world. What began as a personal creative persuit evolved into a dedication to capturing landscapes with authenticity, atmosphere, and artistic expression.

I draw inspiration from dramatic coastlines, mountains, changing weather, and the fleeting moments when light transforms an ordinary scene into something extraordinary. through my photograph, I strive to convey not only the visual beauty of a landscape, but also its mood, scale, and emotional impact, inviting viewers to experience the natural world as I see and feel it.
Style
My landscape photography is defined by natural, atmospheric, and fine-art approach, emphasising dramatic light, thoughtful composition, and the intricate relationship between land, sea and sky. I favour authentic colours, refined tonal balance, and subtle contrasts that preserve the realism of the scene while enhancing its depth, mood, and visual impact. My style seeks to capture the quiet beauty of nature, creating evocative images that inspire a sense of wonder, tranquility, and connection with the landscape.
Achievements
I have received a Gold Award in the 2026 Epson International Pano Awards, along with multiple Bronze Awards, as well as multiple entries achieving 80% or higher in the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Competition. I have also received multiple Certificates of Merit from international digital circuits and the Photographic Society of South Africa.
Shot Story (1)
This image feature a very popular prominent rock outcrop at Arniston, South Africa, photographed and loved by many landscape photographers due to its characteristic shelving and shape, interaction with the sea and dramatic nature, especially at sunrise. On the morning that this image was taken, the sea was particularly rough with dramatic waves crashing over it, creating ideal conditions for dramatic and atmospheric long exposure photography.
The image was awarded a Gold Award in 2026 and 11th overall in the Natural Landscapes, Amateur category.
