About Bill

Bill Bailey isn’t your average shutterbug. A true photography adventurer, he spent part of his career traversing the Alaskan wilderness, capturing family portraits of remote villagers and children in outlying school districts through his company, Northern Exposure Photography of Alaska.

The call of warmer climates eventually drew Bill south, where he met his “Aussie sweetheart,” Kim. In 2004, Bill joined forces with Nick Fan (Fanotec Int) and became CEO of Nodal Ninja, a company that has grown into a global leader in panoramic photography equipment. This marked the beginning of a new photographic journey into the captivating world of panoramic and VR imagery. After 14 years as CEO, Bill retired and stepped away from day-to-day operations but remains actively involved in photography.

Bill’s passion extends far beyond capturing breathtaking landscapes. He is a strong advocate for panoramic and VR photography, using his experience and influence to inspire others and encourage creative expression, from snowy deserts to sandy beaches.

From 2019 to 2022, Bill and Kim lived in Mexico, where he made a personal commitment to community service through his work with Google Street View. During this time, he helped document local communities, map previously uncharted roads, and bring visibility to small businesses by placing them on the map, contributing to both tourism and local economies.

Now based in Australia, Bill and Kim are preparing for another exciting chapter, exploring the country and documenting their journey, capturing immersive panoramic and 360° imagery along the way.

Since 2013, Bill has also been proud to serve on the Epson International Pano Awards VR/360 judging panel.
